LI: I am learning to plan and write Haiku Poems using the 575 rule.
Haiku poems are Japanese poems that are meant to paint pictures in your mind. They are written to describe and talk about nature and feelings. Haiku describes the place/environment, sounds, smells, people, action.
Structure:
Line 1: 5 syllables
Line 2: 7 syllables
Line 3: 5 syllables
Here are some topic/ideas to get you started:
- Favourite place, Winter, Summer, Spring, Autumn
- School, Friends, Family
- Nature, Pets/Animals
- Holidays, Christmas
