W.A.L.T: Work ratios and proportions.

 This week I am working with rations. If you do not know how to work out ratios well I will teach you how it is done. If Waimaria (Me) saved 12 goals for every 18 goals. How many were kicked at Waimaria if he saved 36? So this what you would do so what 12 divided by 2=6 and 18 divided by 2= 9 so it will be 6:9

Google Cardboard

Google have just made a new thing which is called Google Cardboard. Pt england School was lucky because Google gave us 30 Google Cardboard. There gave this to us so we can test and see what the world look likes.

The way that Google Cardboard works is that you have to have a smartphone. When you are ready you have to download the app and it is called goggle expeditions. You will have to have two smartphone one is for you to see where are and one is for to take where you want to go.

By using this make you learn a lot. Because the things that you want to learn about Google mostly to have it. The you want to see will cool. You can buy this at the night markets on Saturday.

Camp Bentzon

WALT: multiply and divide decimal numbers

Our task this week was to divide decimals numbers. This week I am with a bubby and her name is Presayus. Make sure when you are done on my blog go and visit my buddy blog.Here is a link to my buddys blog . This week I have leant to dived declaims numbers. First it was hard but now it is not. I did not get help ffrom my teachaer so that is good!

Problem Solving

W.A.L.T: Multiply and divide whole numbers.  
This week I have leant to break the numbers to make it more easy for me to find the answer. Do you how to break the number? Well if you don't today you will leave here knowing how to break the number to make more easy! If the question was 238x8= first if you do 200x8=1600 30x8=240 and 8x8=64 you add all your totals up together so this one will be 1304. So there you have it that is how you break you numbers to make it more easy for you.

Pt's and Pieces

This term team 4 has money and our money is called pt's and pieces. The blue and the green one is pt's the blue one is 1 pt and the green one is 2 pt in New Zealand  money 1pt will make 2 dollars and 2pt will make 4 dollars. The red and the white one's are pieces the red one is 20 pieces and the white one is 50 pieces if you change this kinda money into New Zealand the red one will make you 40 cents and the white one will make 1 dollar.

Kynan

W.A.L.T: find specific evidence in the text. 

This week I have leant to find the evidence in the text. First we had to make two padlets. Our first one was about how Kynan showed perseverance. Our second one was about how Kynan was capable. If you ever make a padlet make sure you have evidence.

If I had 1 million dollars

I wake in the morning and i went to go and watch t.v in the sitting room and it was full of money. When I saw it I started to jump over the place with excitement! I called my mum and said “ Mum come and look in the sitting room”. My mum quickly run to the me and said “how did this money get here”. I called my dad and he said that he left it there for me and my mum to go shopping at the mall. YAY!

Off we went to the mall and first up on our list is toyworld. I would buy at toyworld is remote control car for my baby sister because when we go out places she gets sick of walking but when I buy her the remote control car she will be very happy with because she doesn't have to walk any more. After buying that I would buy stuff for me and my baby sister's bed I would buy her teddy bears, blanket covers and cool pillows.

When we were finished shopping at toyworld we were off to look for JB Hifi. When we got to JB Hifi I wanted to buy a apple laptop and a phone for me, my brother, my sister and my step dad the phone that I would buy for them would be a iPhone 6 or 5. I know that I would buy me a apple laptop so when I leave my netbook at school I would still have something to play on.

The very last shop we are going to is foot locker. At foot locker I would buy me and my sister’s nike roshe, nike airmaxs and for my baby sister I would buy nike roshe and puma. I would these shoes for me and my sister’s because we all need good shoes and I have the money so why not.

I think that I did not spend it well because I bought junk and I did not even want and it cost a lot of money. I could of payed the bills and I would of spent it well. If you go out shopping make sure when you go out shopping make sure you buy what you need or else if you see something cool and you buy it and go home and open it and you don't like it you can not get your money back it would of been a waste of time.

Shopping at the mall

W.A.L.T: Write effective paragraphs using juicy and exciting words.  
This week I have learnt to think if I had spent my money wisely. If you went to the mall what would you  buy? And would you buy thing that you need or don't need?  If you go shopping make sure you think of what you need because if you just go shopping and see something cool and it cost heaps and you buy it . And you get home and you try it and you don't like it you can not get your money back so make sure you think of what you need!

Problem Solving WK3

W.A.L.T: Add and subtract decimals 

This week I have learnt to add and subtract decimals. Do you know how to subtract decimals? Well if you don't I will teach how to. So if Matt had a chip that was 0.57 long and then he cut of 0.07? The answer will be 0.50 because 0.57 - 0.007=0.50 so there you have it! I hope that you now know how to subtract decimals.

The Ski Trip

W.A.L.T: Add and use new vocab.

This the task that we were giving is to make a ad for Anthony. I have learnt to make a poster. The poster was about how much Anthony get paid and what he is super good at. If you make a poster make sure that you have what there are good at, how much there pay him and contact details make sure you aslo put to good word about he/she.

QLD

Hurry up traffic lights! We were off to chipmunks. YAY! What was at chipmunks? Well chipmunks is a massive places that has slides, bouncy castle and a big park. We went to chipmunks on the second week of school holidays.
Weeeeeeeeeeeee as I went down the bouncy slide! It was a big slide that I went down on. Now that I was done on the slide I told my mum that I was going to take my baby sister to the baby park. First we went down on the green, fast slide and she loved it and so did I!

When I was done playing with my sister we had some hot chips. YUM YUM YUM! There were so nice. Come on cousin lets go and play. “You can’t catch me” as I told my cousin. After 1hour and 30 mins it was time to everyone was so tired even my mum and brother.

Make sure if you go have fun and play nice. Have a happy term.

Explaining Your Thinking & Understanding

This term for our topic it is called Tinkering, Tools and Toys. For Tinkering, Tools and Toys we had to make a side scrolling game. First we had to make a plan On our Google drive so we know what we are doing and what I need to add. We had to make three levels or background and make any lead character you want. First before we started planning our games we had to play two games one was super Mario brothers.

What I have learnt is to make your three background side scroll. I have also learnt to add a lot of details and to take my time. If you ever make you a side scrolling game make sure that it looks good and it is a little bit hard for the older kids and easy for the younger kids.

Sunsmart

Summer. Make sure you wear sunscreen and hats that is how you keep sunsmart! If you do not know how to stay safe read this story!

Hats is an important thing to wear so it can cover your head. You wear a hat because if your head gets burn you can get skin cancer and you might die. When you are at school make sure to wear a hat! If you wear a hat you will not get skin cancer because you have protect your head.

Sunscreen. Make sure you slap on some sunscreen so you do not get sunburn. Sunburn can give you skin cancer. If you get skin cancer you can die if you do not protect yourself.

Now you know what sunsmart is about. Go and teach the world how to be sunsmart.

Walt: use fractions

This week I have learnt that fraction is like division . For examples  if there was 15 and you had to spilt it up into 1/3 how much would it be. So 15 divided by 2= 7.5 so if we do 15  divided by 3=5 so the answer will be 1/3 of 15=3.

WALT: Solve fraction problems.


 
I have learnt a lot for and example 1/3 of 27 what you do is you garb the 27 what is the number that 27 it is 9 because 27  divide by 3=9 9x1=9 so the answer is 9. At frist it was hard but now I can do any  fraction problems.

Holiday highlight

W.A.L.T  Follow the structure of a recount to write about a holiday highlight.

Was your holiday fun? Well mine was fun.On the 16th 
January me,My Mum, My Brother, My Sister, My Nan and Anj went to bounce and beyond it was for my Nephew birthday. It was out in East Tamaki. When my Nan was driving I  keep on asking ” If we are there yet” and my Nan said” No No No”.

As soon as we arrive I was over excited. We put our delicious food on the party table. After that my Mum said” Go play kids” I went and played and my mum did not see until the lovely food was ready. Bounce and beyond  is fall of castle’s. I went on the wrecking ball.

There was a castle  that you have to climb up the stairs and go down the slide you have to jump until you get of the castle. It does not  take you  long to climb up the stairs.  I went down the slide and I was scared.

At 12:00 it was time to it our good looking food. My cousin ask me  if I could say the pery I said”No” there was to much kids. I was shy. So my cousin   sister son did. There was so much food to eat. After that it was time to play pass the passer.

My school holiday is now over. Now it is time for school. I wonder what you did in  the holiday.
