Haiku poetry

LI: I am learning to plan and write Haiku Poems using the 575 rule.

Haiku poems are Japanese poems that are meant to paint pictures in your mind. They are written to describe and talk about nature and feelings. Haiku describes the place/environment, sounds, smells, people, action.

       Structure:       

Line 1:  5 syllables        

Line 2: 7 syllables        

Line 3: 5 syllables

Here are some topic/ideas to get you started:

Kumusta For my writing we did  when Jesus was born. Check here on my blog to how my writing went.  First it was really hard but every time I tried it got better and better.  I have tried hard all year long to build my writing to the top. What help me is when my teacher and group were helping me make new words.

I have created a doc  that has my Writing first I said it was going to be really really hard but it was not. Every time I said I could not do it I thought saying yes I can do it. As Mr But said do your best at the test I said that to myself and if I can do it  you can do it.

   Introduction

Did you know that the year five last friday went to the Auckland Art  Gallery? We set off on the bus to the Auckland Art Gallery.  It  was loud I thought when we go on the bus I thought it was meant to be qutie.   It was so amazing . We went there so we can look and admire beautiful  art. When we got there we had to sit down and hopped in our groups.   We had three wonderful and amazing sessions.

                                              Your Choice

After our lovely  lunch Class 10  had  free choice it was not the kids free choice. It was the adult's choice of what we were going to do. My group was going to do the lego display and  learning center it was doing the lego and going into the wave length room. We had an enjoyable time doing the lego. Afterwards  we were done making wonderful  lego and awesome wave length we asked Miss Ouano  the light show?“and she said “Of course ”. When we got there and we went in it was dark as the black sky.

        

                           Studio

After  we had  some morning tea class 10 had the studio session. You would never guess what we did in the studio? Well if you said art well you are correct. When we got in the studio we had to find a chair to sit on and when we did we had piece of cardboard. And on the piece of cardboard there was a jar and we had to cut it out. When we were finished cutting the art out we had to think of something we would like to draw and I chose was Christmas.  We could not write anything  we only could draw pictures.

                       

                                                      Conclusion

Hi this week I am here to tell you how to be a Point Englander student. Let’s get on with it.  You need to do the right thing  at the right time in the place , You need to managing your self and  you to show respect s. If you  do not know how to be a successful Point Englander well stay and I will tell you

Do the thing at the right time in the right place

You need to do the right thing at the time in the place  because everything you do bad or good does not go away.  How you are meant to do it?  This is how you do it well you have to do the right thing on your netbook. Also you need to listen and show respect to your teachers.

                  Managing yourself

You  need to manage yourself  so you can be a good student.  Why you need to Manage yourself you ask? You need to Manage yourself so your teacher can so to you at the end of the day you have be managing yourself . How you can Manage yourself you can manage yourself by sitting up all the time not playing around.

                Showing Respect

   You need to show respect  by being kind to others. For example  to show respect so you know what to do when your teacher tells you to. Only one person at a time talking.  And you need to show respect when people are talking.

Introduction-

Do you know how to stay sunsmart? If you don’t stay here and I will tell you. This story is all about sunsmart. To stay sunsmart you have to wear Hats,Sunblock and Clothing if you do not wear these helpful stuff you would get sunburned.

                           Hats-

Why you need to wear Hats you ask? You need to wear Hats because it protects your head. Do you know if you do not wear Hats you can die that is why you need to wear Hats.

                       Clothing-

You need to wear lots of Clothing so you can stay safe. If  you wear a lot of clothing and you go out in the sun you would not get sun burnt.  If you go out in the sun with a lot of clothing on  you can die from the sun.

Happy Birthday

We went to my uncles house, because it was my cousins birthday .He had a birthday cake and on it there were ten candles. My cousin blew them out with a big puff! But they wouldn't blow out and my uncle started dancing and we said he was being silly.So we went outside and played on the bouncy castle.











We went to my uncles house in mission bay , because it was my cousins Tom birthday .I was so happy because I have not seen him in a long time.

Tom  had a birthday cake , it was a chocolate cake and on it there were ten green  candles. My cousin blew them out with a big puff! But they wouldn't blow out.

Cultures are what make countries unique . Each country has different culture activities, cultural rituals. Culture is seen in people writing, religion, music, clothes, cooking and what they do. In some cultures like China you are only to have one kid. In China  you most want a boy because there are strong.

My family is from Auckland , New Zealand. We mostly  eat  seafood.
